“Yesterday’s Gone” was written by Chad Stuart, with a share of the credit to Wendy Kidd. It was the first song Stuart wrote, and he recorded it in 1963 with Jeremy Clyde as the British duo Chad and Jeremy, who soon found success in America during the British Invasion.
