Her first recording with the band was Time (Lonesome Day, 2005), cut at the Lonesome Day studio in Booneville, Kentucky, on which she sings harmony behind Lou Reid’s leads with Kevin Richardson, while Joe Hannabach plays bass. By the time of My Own Set of Rules (Rural Rhythm, 2009), recorded at Eastwood Studios in Cana, Virginia, she was the band’s bass player and one of its four singers, alongside Shannon Slaughter on guitar, Trevor Watson on banjo and Lou Reid on mandolin, with Ron Stewart guesting on fiddle. The same lineup made the gospel album Sounds Like Heaven to Me (Rural Rhythm Christian, 2010), on which she and Slaughter took the lead on several songs.

On 20th Anniversary Concert: Live at the Down Home (KMA, 2013), recorded at the Down Home in Johnson City, Tennessee, she played bass, did most of the talking from the stage and sang the lead on the Stanley Brothers’ “She’s More to Be Pitied.” She was still on bass and vocals on Rollin’ On (KMA, 2016), with Marcus Smith on guitar and Watson on banjo and guitar.
