Mark Howard
Mark Howard is an American guitarist and session musician based in Nashville, known for his work with John Hartford and as a versatile studio player.
- Did road work with the Dillards and with Earl Scruggs.
- Became a busy Nashville session guitarist beginning in the mid-1980s, recording with Iris DeMent, Johnny Cash, Nanci Griffith, and others.
- Joined the music-and-comedy group the Cluster Pluckers in 1987.
- Played on several of John Hartford's later albums.
- Has written string arrangements performed by the Nashville Symphony.
