Peter Ostroushko
Peter Ostroushko was an American mandolinist and fiddler, a versatile acoustic musician long associated with the radio program “A Prairie Home Companion.”
- Born in 1953 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to a Ukrainian-American family.
- Played mandolin, uncredited, on Bob Dylan's 1975 album “Blood on the Tracks.”
- Was a longtime musician on “A Prairie Home Companion” and served as the program's music director in the 1980s.
- Recorded and toured with Norman Blake, Chet Atkins, and Robin and Linda Williams.
- Recorded extensively for Red House Records.
- Died in 2021.
