Sarah Jarosz
Sarah Jarosz is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who plays mandolin, banjo, and guitar. Raised in the Texas hill country, she emerged as a teenage prodigy and became a leading voice in contemporary folk and Americana music.
- Born in 1991 in Austin, Texas, and raised in Wimberley, Texas, she signed with Sugar Hill Records while still in high school.
- Released her debut album, “Song Up in Her Head,” in 2009.
- Graduated with honors from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2013.
- Is a member of the trio I'm With Her, alongside Aoife O'Donovan and Sara Watkins.
- Won Grammy Awards for her albums “Undercurrent” (2016) and “World on the Ground” (2020).
- Plays clawhammer banjo, mandolin, octave mandolin, and guitar.
