Pete Kuykendall
Pete Kuykendall was an American bluegrass musician, songwriter, and journalist.
- Born in 1938 in Washington, D.C.
- Played banjo with the early Country Gentlemen.
- Co-founded the magazine Bluegrass Unlimited in 1966 and edited it for decades.
- Wrote the song “I Am Weary (Let Me Rest),” used in the film “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” He was inducted into the IBMA Hall of Fame and died in 2017.
