His first album, Daniel Greeson, also known as 15 Fiddle Tunes, came out on Patuxent in October 2014, when he was not yet eighteen. Backed by Danny Knicely on guitar and mandolin, Brennen Ernst on banjo and Marshall Wilborn on bass, with Casey Driscoll adding twin fiddle on four tracks, he played six Bill Monroe instrumentals, among them “Jerusalem Ridge,” “Wheel Hoss” and “Panhandle Country,” along with Kenny Baker’s “Dry and Dusty,” Benny Martin’s “Martin’s Waltz” and Bobby Hicks’s “Snowflake Reel.” A second Patuxent album, Done Gone, with much the same band and Taylor Baker on mandolin, followed in January 2018.

By then he had spent three years on the road with the Churchmen and was studying in the bluegrass program at East Tennessee State University. In March 2018, at twenty-one, he joined Sideline in place of Nathan Aldridge, who had left for IIIrd Tyme Out, playing alongside Steve Dilling, Jason Moore, Skip Cherryholmes, Troy Boone and Bailey Coe. He graduated from ETSU that year and played fiddle on the band’s Mountain Home album Breaks to the Edge, recorded at Crossroads Studios in Arden, North Carolina, and issued in 2019, and on its single “Crash Course in the Blues.” Known in the band as Slim, he played his last show with Sideline at Stonefield Cellars Winery in Stokesdale, North Carolina, on 26 October 2019, and in November moved to Knoxville to work in marketing, sales and production for BlueChip Picks.

When Mountain Fever signed Troy Boone and Aaron “Frosty” Foster as Boone & Foster in June 2020, Greeson was their fiddler and tenor singer, with Brady Wallen on banjo and Aaron Ramsey on bass. He plays fiddle throughout the duo’s only album, Smoky Mountain Favorites, which Boone completed after Foster’s death in February 2021 and Mountain Fever released in April 2023, including the first single, “County Fool” (2020), “Tiny Broken Heart” and the Stanley Brothers’ “Think of What You’ve Done.”
