Hattie Stoneman
Hattie Stoneman was an American old-time fiddler, a matriarch of the musical Stoneman Family.
- Born in 1900 in Pipers Gap, Virginia, into a family of fiddlers.
- Was the wife of the recording pioneer Ernest “Pop” Stoneman.
- Recorded with her husband in the 1920s and raised a large family of musicians.
- Lived to see the Stoneman Family named the Country Music Association's Vocal Group of the Year in 1967.
- Died in 1976.
