Jim Chancellor
Jim Chancellor, known as “Texas Shorty,” is an American fiddler, a master of the Texas long-bow style.
- Born in 1943 in Dallas, Texas.
- Studied with the legendary fiddler Benny Thomasson.
- Was the youngest fiddler ever to win the World Champion Fiddler title, and won the Texas State Championship three years in a row.
- Received the National Endowment for the Arts' National Heritage Fellowship in 2010.
