E-and’A is fiddler Darol Anger’s 2014 album on Adventure Music, recorded with a band of younger players: Joe K. Walsh, formerly of the Gibson Brothers, on mandolin; Courtney Hartman of Della Mae on guitar; Lukas Pool on banjo; and Sharon Gilchrist, formerly of the Tony Rice Unit, on bass. Anger joined the David Grisman Quintet at 21, in 1977, and co-founded the Turtle Island Quartet; he teaches at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He described the record as his first bluegrass album since Psychograss, almost ten years earlier.

The eleven tracks mix established fiddle tunes, among them “Denver Belle” and “Fiddler’s Pastime,” with new tunes written for the record. The others are “The Gravel Shore,” “Farewell to Trion,” “Homer the Roamer,” “La Ville des Manteaux,” “Pogo Big,” “Scarborough,” “High Ham,” “Canyon Moonrise” and “Grey Owl.”
