Alison Krauss has been the most commercially successful bluegrass musician of the modern era — twenty-seven Grammy awards, country and pop airplay, and Robert Plant duet records. Union Station — with Jerry Douglas, Dan Tyminski, Ron Block, and Barry Bales — has been her band since the early 1990s. Tyminski’s vocal on “Man of Constant Sorrow” in “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” brought bluegrass to one of the biggest soundtracks of the 2000s.
