Lonesome River Band has been one of the most consistent traditional bluegrass bands since the late 1980s, anchored by banjo player Sammy Shelor (six-time IBMA Banjo Player of the Year). Their hard-driving sound, tight vocals, and steady output of new material kept them at the front of the traditional camp through the 90s, 2000s, and 2010s.
