“Talk It All Over With Him,” also titled “I’ll Talk It All Over With Him,” is a bluegrass gospel song. It was recorded in 1971 by J.D. Crowe and the Kentucky Mountain Boys, and later by the Bluegrass Album Band, the group that brought Crowe together with Tony Rice, Doyle Lawson, and others.
The song is built on trust in the face of things the singer cannot understand. Whatever puzzles or troubles him in this life, he resolves to carry to God in prayer and to talk it all over with Him; the refrain makes that resolve the answer to every doubt.
The song fits the gospel side of the bluegrass repertoire, where it is sung in close harmony. The version heard here is by the Bluegrass Album Band.
