“Nobody But You” — more fully “I’ll Love Nobody But You” — is a bluegrass love song written and recorded by Jim and Jesse, the McReynolds brothers of Virginia. They cut it in 1959 with their band the Virginia Boys.
Jim and Jesse were among the finest of the bluegrass brother duos, prized for the smoothness of their close harmony and for Jesse McReynolds’s distinctive cross-picked mandolin. “Nobody But You” is a characteristic piece — a plain, devoted pledge of faithful love, the kind of tender material the brothers sang as well as anyone.
