Kenny Malone (1938–2021) was a Nashville session drummer and percussionist whose light touch made him a first call for acoustic and folk-leaning records from the 1970s on. Born in Denver, he played on Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” Crystal Gayle’s “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue” and albums by Johnny Cash, John Prine and Guy Clark.
