Flatt on Victor Plus More is a six-CD box set from Bear Family Records (BCD 15975), released in December 1999, with 148 tracks and a 52-page book. It follows Lester Flatt from the last Flatt & Scruggs sessions through his solo years: his one solo album for Columbia, five RCA Victor studio albums, three RCA LPs with Mac Wiseman, and the live RCA album of his March 1974 reunion with Bill Monroe. Thirty-nine of the tracks were previously unreleased, eleven of them from the Monroe concert, which was recorded at Neely Auditorium at Vanderbilt University in Nashville with Marty Stuart on mandolin and Kenny Baker and Paul Warren on fiddle, and which the set presents in full.

The first disc is a separate group of eighteen unreleased Flatt & Scruggs outtakes, recorded at Columbia Studio in Nashville between 1966 and 1968. One is “Girl from the North Country,” cut on 15 May 1967 with Flatt, Earl Scruggs, Paul Warren, Josh Graves and Charlie McCoy on harmonica among the players. Bob Johnston produced the last Flatt & Scruggs sessions and Flatt’s Columbia solo album, and Bob Ferguson produced the RCA recordings, where Roland White, Vic Jordan, Josh Graves, Paul Warren, Marty Stuart and Haskel McCormick are among the players.
